Abstract
A 19-year-old man with spontaneous hemopneumothorax, a rare condition, underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) on the fourth day after presentation. Evacuation of clot, resection of the bullae, and irrigation of the pleural cavity were performed without difficulty. The indications for VATS for spontaneous hemopneumothorax are discussed.Entities:
