Drug nephrotoxicity: an overview.

W M Bennett1.

Abstract

Drug-induced nephrotoxicity is common in clinical practice and should be sought out by clinicians seeking to understand the causes of renal disease and renal syndromes in particular patients. Insights into the pathophysiology of drug-induced disorders should provide clues to disease mechanisms which ultimately might lead to better treatments and more rational prevention of all renal diseases.
