Abstract
Varus deformity is a well known problem in the treatment of chronic lateral ankle instability. Surgical correction is recommended occasionally. The goal of this study was to show the effect of a calcaneal Dwyer osteotomy in patients suffering from a functional instability. We examined 6 patients, who underwent 7 calcaneal osteotomies. Postoperatively all patients maintained stability. No recurrence of a supination trauma was observed.Entities:
