Abstract
Halothane, but not methoxyflurane, was found to cause specific hepatocellular damage, the hepatotoxicity being prompt but transient. The hepatotoxicity was demonstrated by the elevation in the serum activity of xanthine oxidase, a highly sensitive marker for acute liver damage.Entities:
