Abstract
Oesophageal carcinoma is a devastating disease with a poor prognosis. This hypothesis shows how prostaglandin E2 exerts carcinogenic effects in the oesophagus. The contribution of prostaglandin E2 is related to other factors that predispose to oesophageal carcinoma. The implication of the hypothesis is that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin may be useful in the prevention of oesophageal carcinoma.Entities:
