Abstract
Socially subordinate adult female cynomolgus monkeys are hypercortisolemic, the targets of aggression, fearful, vigilant, receive little positive affiliative contact, exhibit pathological behaviors indicating anxiety, and are disengaged in the social events around them. Subordinates also have altered dopaminergic activity that may be due to decreased D2 receptor binding. Dopaminergic activity indices were more closely associated with affiliative than agonistic behaviors.Entities:
