Abstract
The activation of the serine/threonine kinase Raf-1 is proving to be an intricate multistep process. Recent advances in elucidating how Raf-1 becomes activated in response to signaling events have emphasized the role of phosphorylation and protein interactions in Raf-1 regulation.
