Abstract
We report a case of thoracic exophytic myxopapillary ependymoma with imaging modality mimicking an intradural extramedullary tumour. This tumour showed hypointense relative to the spinal cord on T1-weighted (TR516/TE17) images and hyperintense on T2-weighted (TR4000/TE84) images. It revealed strong enhancement on T1-weighted (TR500/TE11) images. These findings were diagnosed as a meningioma by the radiologist. The tumour was proven to arise from the ventral side of the thoracic cord, and was totally excised. It was verified histopathologically as a myxopapillary ependymoma.Entities:
