Abstract
A 30-year-old man with AIDS developed separate episodes of bacteremia with multiple organisms including CDC group IVc-2, related to an indwelling central venous catheter. Recovery at each interval followed antibiotic therapy and replacement of the central venous access. This is the first reported case of infection with this organism in a patient with AIDS. A review of the biochemical features of this bacterium as well as pertinent literature is presented.Entities:
