Abstract
This is a case of intracranial sarcoma which was recognized 23 years after irradiation therapy for pituitary adenoma. Four operations were performed because of recurrences with a short interval between each operation. Immunohistochemically, the tumour cells were stained for smooth muscle actin, human muscle actin and vimentin. It was verified as a leiomyosarcoma. This report is the first case of intracranial leiomyosarcoma associated with radiation therapy in pituitary adenoma.Entities:
