Abstract
The case of a 28-year-old man who presented with a false aneurysm of the inferior gluteal artery 3 months after a penetrating wound to the buttock is reported. Percutaneous transcatheter embolization was unsuccessful. At operation, abdominal access was used for control, with a gluteal approach to provide exposure of the aneurysm. The presentation and management of patients with this pattern of injury are discussed, and the relevant literature reviewed.Entities:
