Abstract
We describe an arteriovenous fistula (AVF) at the site of balloon dilatation immediately after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) of the femoropopliteal artery. This occurred during an otherwise uncomplicated angioplasty with a good clinical result. The AVF closed spontaneously within 2 months as monitored by color duplex ultrasound. This uncommon complication of PTA is not widely recognized.Entities:
