The enigma of local recurrence. The Society of Surgical Oncology.

Abstract

Local recurrence has long been seen as a technical surgical failure to be avoided at all costs. This paper reviews the significance of local recurrence for the patient in terms of survival, using data derived from the study of extremity soft tissue sarcoma.
