Abstract
The case of a patient with progressive paraparesis due to first thoracic disc herniation is reported. He was treated successfully with anterior interbody fusion by the Smith-Robinson approach. An anterior approach is desirable for surgical treatment of T1/2 disc herniation, and up to this level the Smith-Robinson approach, without thoracotomy, is entirely possible.Entities:
