Abstract
MIG is a gamma interferon-inducible T cell chemoattractant that is a member of the chemokine family of cytokines. P1 clones containing the MIG gene were found also to contain the gene of a related chemokine, INP10. We localized MIG and INP10 to 4q21 by FISH, demonstrated by pulsed field gel electrophoresis that MIG and INP10 are distant from the tight cluster of other CXC chemokine genes at 4q12-->q13, and determined that MIG and INP10 are oriented head to tail with their start codons separated by less than 16 kb.Entities:
