Abstract
Four patients with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) were treated with (D)-penicillamine (1.2-1.8 g/d) for 18-60 months. All patients improved. Vital capillary microscopy demonstrated that the number of visible skin capillaries increased during therapy, thus indicating a more efficient nutritional circulation.Entities:
