[The reaction of the individual to an uncontrollable exposure depends on the behavioral strategy].

D A Zhukov.

Abstract

An inescapable electrical shock (IS) induced failures to escape, diminished a locomotor activity and anxiety in Koltushi High-Avoidance rat strains (KHA) as opposed to Koltushi Low-Avoidance (KLA) rat strains. An escapable shock did not affect the KHA rats in behavioural and endocrine experiments, whereas it produced the same effects as the IS in the KLA rats.
