Abstract
The bony skeleton of the patient with sickle cell disease is a frequent target of the consequences of sickling. Bone marrow necrosis, bone infarcts osteomyelitis, and aseptic necrosis are common complications in patients with sickle cell disease. An understanding of the pathogenesis, prevalence, diagnosis, and management of these conditions is therefore important for those involved in the care of such patients.Entities:
