Abstract
Two minor metabolites of (+)-propoxyphene were prepared in both the (+/-) and (+) forms. The optically pure forms were synthesized by a degradative route from (+)-propoxyphene. The di-N-demethylated metabolite 10a,b had weak analgesic activity while the cyclized oxazine metabolite 7a was inactive.Entities:
