Abstract
The genes coding for cholera toxin are borne on, and can be infectiously transmitted by, a filamentous bacteriophage, raising intriguing questions about the mechanisms and evolution of bacterial pathogenesis, and the taxonomy, epidemiology and control of cholera and other bacterial diseases.Entities:
