Use of a bioresorbable guided tissue membrane at an adjunct to bony regeneration in cases requiring endodontic surgical intervention.

R A Uchin1.

Abstract

The use of guided tissue regeneration membrane in the treatment of advanced bony lesion case management is at hand, allowing the endodontist an additional adjunctive tool to treat an isolated bony defect with enhanced expectation of clinical regeneration of bone in the healing process. The introduction of a resorbable membrane should allow for wider use by endodontists in those indicated cases that come under our management. Two such cases are presented.
