Abstract
A physical examination of 223 juvenile delinquents in a comprehensive probation program found the majority in poor health. Although poor health is not a direct cause of crime, it can affect a youth's social and intellectual functioning and hence his ability to use a service program. Thus probation workers must be aware of their clients' health status and available health services if they are to treat these youths effectively.Mesh:
