Abstract
Pneumonia caused by respiratory syncytial virus in an AIDS patient is reported. A co-infection with cytomegalovirus was also demonstrated. Treatment with ribavirin and foscarnet produced good clinical response. The patient, known to have serious obstructive lung disease, suffered from bronchial hyperreactivity for some time afterwards. The dilemma of antiviral therapy is discussed.Entities:
