Modifications to the Hasson technique.

G H Poole1, F A Frizelle.

Abstract

Blind peritoneal penetration with a Veress needle is an unnecessary risk. This risk is reduced by the use of the 'Hasson technique'. We suggest two modifications to the Hasson technique which make it easier to undertake, and reduce the problem of peri-port air leak.
