Abstract
Zygomycosis (Mucormycosis) has been reported to involve most of the organ systems in man, although pulmonary zygomycosis with mediastinum invasion in rare and only few cases were reported in the literature previously. The roentgenographic findings of pulmonary zygomycosis have been well-discussed. However, the lateral view of chest radiograph has never been described. We report a patient with diabetes mellitus who had pulmonary zygomycosis with mediastinal involvement, presenting as thickening of posterior tracheal band (PTB, 6mm in width). Amphotericin B therapy effectively reduced it to return to normal width.Entities:
