Abstract
Over the past several years there has been a dramatic rise in the incidence of tuberculosis. Peripheral skeletal tuberculosis is, more often than not, misdiagnosed as osteoarthritis or pyogenic osteomyelitis. Tuberculosis is no longer a "zebra" among differential diagnoses. This article reviews the pathogenesis, along with practical tips for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoarticular tuberculosis.Entities:
