Sacrospinous ligament colpopexy: new instrumentation applied to a standard gynecologic procedure.

J D Watson1.

Abstract

Sacrospinous ligament colpopexy continues to be underutilized because of its technical difficulty. The Endo Stitch, a new laparoscopic suturing instrument, was used as a surgical adjunct in the performance of sacrospinous ligament colpopexy in nine patients with vaginal vault prolapse after hysterectomy. The procedures were performed with surprising technical ease.
