Abstract
Developmental anomalies of the pancreas and its ductal drainage system are an important cause of pancreatitis. Patients with such anomalies require appropriate surgical intervention. This report concerns an uncommon foregut anomaly that causes pancreatitis. A 9-year-old girl had recurrent pancreatitis secondary to a gastric duplication communicating with an aberrant pancreatic lobe. Appreciation of the relevant anatomy led to successful surgical management of the pancreatitis.Entities:
