Acute mesenteric ischaemia associated with 5-FU, cisplatin and vincristine chemotherapy.

Abstract

We report a patient with acute superior mesenteric ischaemia following the use of cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil and vincristine combination chemotherapy. From a review of the literature, the possible mechanisms of acute vascular toxicity following chemotherapy are discussed.
