Prostatic abscesses in sub-Saharan Africa: a hospital-based experience from Cameroon.

Abstract

Abscesses of the prostate are encountered less frequently today and the bacteria responsible have changed over the years. Herein we report our experience with 6 patients with varying presentations. The role of imaging techniques in diagnosis and percutaneous needle aspiration of prostatic abscesses is highlighted.
