Abstract
Urachal carcinoma is a rare neoplasm of the urinary bladder. We present two cases. Case 1, a male patient, noted urinary frequency and micturition pain for two months. The surgical specimen from a partial cystectomy represented a transitional cell carcinoma that developed from a urachal diverticulum. Case 2, a female patient, had a long history of infraumbilical mass without umbilical discharge or urinary symptom. Pathologically, the mass showed a papillary adenocarcinoma arising from a urachal cyst. Both patients received successive en bloc operation. Local recurrence and peritoneal carcinomatosis occurred. Both expired 19 and 13 months respectively, after initial diagnosis.Entities:
