Abstract
At the end of the 20th century, a century characterised by both wondrous progress and mass destruction of human life, powerful forces are converging to reshape and change our lives at personal, professional, national and global levels. These forces challenge us as never before to find ways of living together in an increasingly interdependent world. Mutual respect for differences, willingness to change and be changed through non-oppressive dialogue, humility and concern for the suffering human condition, are the prerequisites for progress.
