Abstract
Physiological cell death (apoptosis) is a natural mechanism for the removal of redundant and abnormal cells, in the absence of inflammation, during normal development. This review focuses on recent developments concerning connections between defective regulation of programmed cell death and aethiology of autoimmune diseases. The pharmacological manipulation of apoptosis maybe will offer new possibilities for the prevention and treatment of these illnesses.Entities:
