Abstract
Seven patients with long-standing atrophic/erosive oral lichen planus were treated for 4 weeks with cyclosporin A as a mouthwash. At the end of the 3-month follow-up period, no improvement in disease status was noted in any of the patients, although two patients showed a slight improvement of their lesions at the end of 1 month of treatment. Cyclosporin A as a mouthwash does not seem to be an effective means of treating severe oral lichen planus.Entities:
