Abstract
A 51-year-old man with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome presented with a perianal ulcer. Histologically there were numerous cytomegalic inclusions within endothelial cells and stomal fibroblasts. Cytomegalovirus within infected cells was demonstrated by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. No cytopathic typical of Herpes simplex were detected. The ulcer resolved completely after a treatment with ganciclovir.Entities:
