Abstract
Tinea pedis is the most common fungal infection worldwide. There are three well-accepted clinical presentations based on the offending organism. Predisposing factors include heat, humidity, and occlusion. Mild disease can evolve to "dermatophytosis complex" through bacterial superinfection. Potassium hydroxide preparation and culture are important diagnostic tests in each case.Entities:
