Abstract
CD4 is widely known as the HIV receptor, but is insufficient to allow viral infection. Recently, members of the family of chemokine receptors have been identified as the missing co-receptors, which act with CD4 to allow the virus to enter cells. These discoveries open up the possibilities of novel therapeutic strategies to combat HIV infection and AIDS.Entities:
