Abstract
PURPOSE: We report a case of acute angle-closure glaucoma associated with ipsilateral intranasal cocaine abuse. METHODS: We examined and treated a 55-year-old white man who developed primary angle-closure glaucoma in the right eye shortly after intranasal cocaine abuse. RESULTS: The patient was successfully treated with Nd:YAG laser peripheral iridotomy on the right eye. CONCLUSION: Cocaine causes mydriasis and can induce angle closure in predisposed individuals.
