Abstract
A 65-year-old man sustained blunt abdominal trauma in an automobile accident which resulted in severe acute ischemia of the right lower leg and foot. Complete arteriography showed extensive aortoiliac arteriosclerosis and embolic occlusion of the distal right popliteal artery. Prompt embolectomy accomplished limb salvage and confirmed the diagnosis of traumatic artheromatous embolization.Entities:
