Henoch-Schönlein purpura of the colon: an unusual gastrointestinal manifestation.

S B Novy, R M Weaver, K M Jensen, W W O'Donnell.

Abstract

Henoch-Schönlein purpura is a nontraumatic hemorrhagic diathesis with bleeding into the joints, skin, and viscera. An unusual case demonstrating radiographic changes in the colon has been presented. Transitory submucosal bleeding found in the colon appears to be similar to that which has been seen in the small bowel.
