C P Montagna1.

Abstract

The body of an 18-year-old female was discovered in a gravel pit in Northern Maine. Investigation determined the body to be that of a woman who had disappeared from the Bangor, Maine area 34 days earlier. Laboratory examination revealed the presence of intact spermatozoa, P30 and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) typable DNA on a vaginal swab and smear slide collected at autopsy.
