Abstract
A unique ankle and subtalar fusion was performed on a patient with avascular necrosis of the talus. The body of the talus was removed and replaced with an autogenous tricortical bone graft. Healing was aided by the use of a bone stimulator and external fixator. The authors believe this fusion to be a more stable fusion than others used to treat avascular necrosis of the talus.Entities:
