Abstract
We report 2 patients who absorbed large amounts of irrigating fluid during transurethral resection of bladder tumours (TURB). Ethanol indication facilitated diagnosis of this complication and showed that absorption had occurred by the extravascular route. Symptoms occurred in one case but they resolved when hypertonic saline and furosemide were given.Entities:
