Abstract
For years, hospitals have been highly structured organizations--a state often attributed to their early associations with the Church and military. Nurses have come to accept hospitals' many policies and procedures as part of their everyday lives. Little wonder, then, that it has taken considerable time and energy to question and dismantle policies that were accepted as military orders or gospel from a greater authority.Mesh:
