Home health, AIDS, and refusal to care.

E W Combs.

Abstract

Refusing to provide nursing care to patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) is an issue with complex ethical, moral and legal implications. As the number of patients with a diagnosis of HIV and AIDS increases in rural and urban areas, nurses and other healthcare providers must prepare to care for this growing population requiring home care.
