Phyllodes type of atypical prostatic hyperplasia.

K Fujita1, H Matsushima, A Munakata.

Abstract

This report documents an uncommon prostatic hyperplasia which developed within a thick capsule between the bladder and rectum grossly showing a phyllodes type of growth. It was simply excised, but recurred locally two years later. A total prostatectomy was performed, and microscopic examination of the tissue revealed no malignant transformation.
