Provisional restorations for fixed prosthodontics.

G J Christensen1.

Abstract

Provisional restorations for crowns and fixed prostheses are often poorly made, contributing to inadequately fitting restrations, sensitive teeth and occlusally incorrect crowns and prostheses. Properly made resin temporary restorations are easy and inexpensive to make by qualified auxiliary staff, and they provide assurance that the final restorations will fit well with minimal clinical adjustments.
