Abstract
Family physicians should see all infants between 2 and 4 weeks of age to exclude persistent jaundice. Early identification of infants with jaundice due to liver disease might lead to better outcomes not only for infants with extrahepatic biliary atresia but for all infants with neonatal liver diseases. The case illustrates the consequences of late identification.Entities:
