Abstract
Despite of prostate abscesses having become an uncommon disease, a number of cases has been described lately specially in immunodepressed patients caused by infrequent agents, such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This paper describes the case of one HIV-positive patient, diagnosed with a prostate abscess within a tuberculous dissemination. The best diagnostic method is considered to be the transrectal ultrasound (TRU), the choice therapy being drainage by ultrasound-guided transperineal percutaneous puncture.Entities:
