Abstract
Blunt trauma to the knee of sufficient force to result in knee dislocation or fracture is commonly associated with popliteal artery injury. The challenging problem of bilateral popliteal artery injury has been rarely reported. We describe a case of bilateral popliteal artery injury after bumper crush injury between two automobiles that illustrates a successful method of management. Expeditious revascularization with minimum ischemia time was obtained by using the posterior approach, rather than the conventional medial approach, allowing two surgical teams to work simultaneously.Entities:
